  • How does Gather work?

    Gather is the easiest way to bring your whole event together in one place. You start by telling us the date you have in mind and the kinds of things you are looking for, whether that is a venue, catering, music, photography, or anything in between. From there, you can explore real vendors in your area, see what they offer, and start adding the pieces that feel right for your gathering. When you are happy with your plan, you send a request to each vendor, and once they say yes, everything is organized for you in a single, easy-to-follow place so you are not juggling a dozen separate conversations and spreadsheets.

  • Do I have to plan everything myself, or can Gather help?

    It is completely up to you, and both options are designed to feel easy. If you enjoy being hands-on, you can browse vendors by category, compare your options side by side, and choose exactly what you want for every part of your event. If you would rather not start from a blank page, you can answer a few simple questions about your gathering and let Gather suggest a set of vendors that fit your event type, your date, and your budget. Whichever way you begin, nothing is locked in until you are ready, so you can adjust, swap things out, or change your mind before you ever send a booking request.

  • When do I pay, and will I know the full cost upfront?

    You will never be charged just for browsing or putting a plan together, and nothing happens to your payment method until a vendor actually confirms your booking. When a vendor says yes, you pay a deposit to reserve your spot, and the remaining balance is charged after your event has taken place. Before you confirm anything, you will always see a clear breakdown of the full cost, including the vendor’s price and the service fee, so you know exactly what you are committing to with no hidden surprises along the way.

  • What happens if my plans change or a vendor has to cancel?

    We know that plans shift, so Gather makes it simple to stay flexible. You can message your vendors directly and request changes to a confirmed booking, such as a different time or small adjustments to the details, right from your gathering page, and the vendor simply approves the update. If you need to cancel a booking, your deposit is non-refundable, and a cancellation fee may apply if you cancel close to the event date. On the other hand, if a vendor ever cancels on you or does not show up, you are fully protected and will receive a complete refund of everything you paid through Gather for that booking.
